Woody Metz, 66, of Newton, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at her home in Newton. Lee’s funeral service was Saturday, April 14 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial was at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Metz. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home please add, Attn: MetzFamily on the envelope.Those left to cherish Lee’s memory are her husband, John of Newton; daughter, Bethany (Gary, Jr.) Pyle of Omaha, Neb.; her three grandchildren, Alyssa Pyle, Brianna Pyle and Gary Pyle III; siblings, Lois (Glenn) Shunk of Newton, Leonard (Becky) Woody of Newton and LaVonne (Dan) Perkins of Newton; her mother-in-law, Gail Poston of Newton; brothers-in-law, Tom (Coby) Metz of Newton and Rick (Denise) Poston of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Aletha Walker Woody.Afternoon Update NewsletterReader PollDo you closely follow the Iowa Legislature?...
